Question about metadata in retriever and the requirement of write access

We recently update our icon application with the latest version of saan-multivector. In our environment we apply least privilege to our resources, so our retriever has only read access.

After updated to the latest version of saan-multivector, we get 403 error, because no write permission is allowed.

A retriever that need write access is an issue for me, or at least must be optional. Why is it necessary to write metadata in vector store when retrieve database vector.
